Spring Garden at Shepparton Marketplace

By Liz Mellino

Spring has sprung at Shepparton Marketplace with a pop-up garden experience for all ages.

A custom-made spring garden has been set up in the middle of the centre, for children and adults to enjoy a number of free activities to celebrate the new season.

This week children were able to get in touch with nature with a grassy head workshop and sunflower seed planting each day.

Next week the garden will transform into a retreat for grown-ups, offering complementary homemade lemonade, fresh fruit sampling and herb seedlings to take home.

Customers can also spend $10 at any participating retailer for their chance to win a share of more than $17000 in prizes with the Spring Garden pick and win giveaway.

Shepparton Marketplace centre manager Theresa Lowe encouraged customers to take some time out from their days and relax in the tranquil surrounds.

‘‘We invite shoppers to experience this unique Spring Garden and enjoy all that the season has to offer in a relaxed, friendly community space,’’ she said.

The Shepparton Marketplace Spring Garden is open until Saturday, October 13, 11am to 2pm daily.
