Shepparton’s McIntosh Centre will be transformed into a Pinterest-worthy space showcasing the best the region has to offer and putting the area on the map as a stylish wedding destination.
Whether your style is classic elegance, rustic, contemporary or boho, the 53 exhibitor vendors will enable you to tick off virtually everything on your wedding to-do list.
From fashion to beauty to honeymoons, reception options and everything in between suppliers have embraced the creative brief and will offer fun, interactive and inspiring ideas.
Founded by wedding photographer Georgie James, who has staged two successful events in Rutherglen, the Shepparton festival is being presented by bride and groom magazine, and is the chosen platform for the launch of the much-anticipated and revamped latest edition.
Ms James said the event was about collaboration and inspiration and celebrating the creative resources in the region.
‘‘I’m very visual and I think people are very visual too, so you can look at stuff online and be like ‘hmm?’, but if you actually see things set up, you can get a feel for things or you can meet vendors face to face and really get a feel for them and whether they are right for you,’’ Ms James said.
Bride and groom magazine editor Jessica Ball said many of the suppliers who worked together on the boho-inspired fashion and styling shoot, featured in the latest edition of the magazine, were on board and looking forward to meeting new brides-to-be at the wedding festival.
‘‘It can be difficult to find wedding vendors, especially the smaller, unique businesses and this event brings those people together in a one-stop-shop visual format,’’ she said.
As well as the most creative, Pinterest worthy local suppliers there will be plenty of free food and drink tastings, live music, lunch options and the bride and groom magazine lounge, where you can relax, grab a copy of the magazine and meet the team.
Love + Light Wedding Festival will be at The McIntosh Centre, Thompson St, Shepparton, from 10am to 4pm on Sunday, April 14.
General admission tickets are $20 and will be available at the gate (cash and eftpos), or buy online to avoid the line at www.loveandlightweddingfairs.com.au
