Get your Santa hats and candles ready — it is carols time.
Mooroopna Carols in the Park is on Saturday featuring an array of entertainment and fun for the family.
Run by the Kiwanis Club of Mooroopna, event spokesman Stuart Fenby said it was the 35th annual event and there would be some new exciting things to enjoy this year.
‘‘We’ve got fireworks this year,’’ he said.
Other entertainment will include live music, Activities in the Park and jumping castles.
‘‘This year we’ve got a bit of a theme happening,’’ Mr Fenby said.
The stage will be set as the Kiwanis house, which Mr Fenby said would represent the inside of a living room.
‘‘When guests arrive, it will be through a big door,’’ he said.
‘‘And Santa will come down the chimney on stage; he’ll also bring a few elves down with him.’’
Free carol song books will be provided and Mr Fenby reminded guests to bring their picnic rugs, chairs and Christmas cheer.
Carols in the Park will be on Saturday from 6.30pm to 9.30pm at John Gray Oval, McLennan St, Mooroopna. Entry is free.
