The performing arts company will only stage the musical twice — tonight and Friday — so people are encouraged to get their tickets.
Dillmac’s Liz Dillon said the cast of 24 children — aged between 11 and 15 — had been rehearsing for months to bring the musical to life.
‘‘They’ve been chosen from across three levels of performing arts classes so they’re from Echuca-Moama, Kyabram, Girgarre, Merrigum and Shepparton,’’ she said.
‘‘They are amazing performers. Their vocals and the choreography are just brilliant,’’ she said.
‘‘This is a wonderfully entertaining show and we hope the community gets behind them and supports them.’’
The show, composed of various musical parables from The Gospel According to Matthew, follows Jesus Christ who recruits a group of followers and teaches them various lessons through song and dance.
Godspell will be held at St Mary’s parish hall, Anstruther St, Echuca, at 7.30pm today and Friday.
