The 17 year-old finished third overall in the junior division, in his car named ‘Hoonigan’.
Veteran racer Terry Maher said Harrison had the best finish of all Deni drivers who competed.
‘‘Overall as a club we had a good day,’’ he said.
‘‘For Harrison to finish in the top three was outstanding.
‘‘He’s been driving for a few years, so to see him have a podium finish was a proud moment for the club.
‘‘It was pretty slippery and cold, which made things that little bit tougher.
‘‘Harrison spun out early but regained his equilibrium to finish off strongly.
‘‘Luckily for the juniors your position is based on your fastest standing and fastest flying lap.’’
Unfortunately for Maher it looks like he’ll have to hand over the Class A Sprint Series title this year, after claiming back-to-back titles in 2017 and 18.
Maher has had an unfortunate season, with a DNF and slower times than he’d like.
‘‘I’m going to be nowhere near it this year,’’ he said.
‘‘The main thing is that I’ve had no car troubles coming out of round three though.
‘‘Peter Short and myself both completed our races in round three so we were both pretty happy with that.
‘‘Bryson Lloyd, who is the quickest of all of us, unfortunately had a gear box blown so he didn’t finish his race.
‘‘Hopefully we all can have a bit more luck in round four.’’
Round four of the series will be held next month.
