Harris battled it out with Rich River’s Liz Easther in the decider at Moama Bowling Club yesterday.
The Deni bowler had an outstanding game, charging away to a 25 to 14 victory to claim her second CVBD title.
Harris will now go on to compete in the Bendigo Region Champion of Champions competition to be held on Sunday, March 3.
‘‘I’m over the moon, I’m just so excited,’’ she said following the win.
‘‘I’m pinching myself a bit, I just can’t believe it.
‘‘I’m very humble in victory though as Liz played an amazing game.’’
The match saw many momentum shifts, with Harris jumping out to an 8 to 1 lead after five ends.
Easther fought back valiantly however, bringing the score to 8-all after eight ends.
The Rich River bowler continued her momentum to hold a slender 11 to 9 lead before Harris drew level at 11-all after 12 ends.
From that point it was Harris who finished strongly, picking up two singles, a ‘three’ and a ‘four’ to jump out to a 20 to 11 lead.
Easther scored singles on the next two ends before Harris again picked up a ‘three’ and a ‘one’ to sit 24 to 13 and just one shot from victory after 20 ends.
Harris’ opponent managed to gain one shot on the 21st end, before the match was completed on the 22nd end.
‘‘Liz (Easther) was holding shot and I had the last bowl to come,’’ Harris said.
‘‘She was only holding shot by a measure and I managed to knock my own bowl and turn it over to take the shot.
‘‘While it looked like the score wasn’t that close, it was definitely a tough game.’’
