The Exchange Hotel will play host to a Motown great, with Ronnie McNeir to feature in the Cabaret in the Garden performance on Sunday, December 9.
The career musician is a Grammy nominated American singer and songwriter, a Motown Records artist, who tours the world as a member of one of the most legendary musical groups in history.
Neisha Prendergast, who is co-owns the Exchange Hotel with Anthony Matthews, said the local pub pounced on a last-minute opportunity to have the legendary singer perform in Deniliquin.
‘‘We are passionate about live music, but this event is better than anything we’ve dreamed of,’’ she said.
‘‘Ronnie’s here for a three week headline tour and somehow, in between dates, we have managed to bring him to Deniliquin.
‘‘He will be supported by the band Pieces of the Puzzle.’’
Deniliquin has a history of punching above its weight when it comes to hosting international musical talent, and Ms Prendergast said this event is no different.
‘‘We are hosting this incredible evening of music in our garden, with cabaret seating and a chef-prepared two-course dinner.
‘‘There will be themed cocktails on arrival and over three hours of fantastic music.’’
The big music event will be held from 5pm with Ronnie McNeir and Pieces of the Puzzle supported by the Exchange’s house blues band Smoking Gun, promising an impressive night of music.
Tickets for the event are $120 including dinner, with discounts available for a table booking of eight people.
Tables are limited so book in early. To book, call Neisha on 0419581956 or book online at https://www.trybooking.com/ZPXQ.
