The Australian fodder industry plays a pivotal role in Australian agriculture, underpinning production in dairy, livestock and other intensive industries.
And in an unprecedented turnaround in the past few months, an over-supply situation for fodder has become a struggle to secure supply for many livestock producers, something the 2018 National Fodder Conference will explore.
Attendees will hear industry outlooks from the dairy and export fodder industries, as well as updates on the national oat breeding program.
The keynote address will be delivered by Peter Vinelli from International Stock Food on the fundamentals of haystack fires.
In addition to the speaking program and various workshops, the conference also has social events including the Welcome Cocktail Function and the Annual Conference Dinner.
The theme for the 2018 National Fodder Conference is ‘The Future of Fodder’ and it will be held from July 29 to 31 at the Adelaide Convention Centre.
