Home again to face Chiltern who have come off two big wins and have obviously playing some good football, we knew we were in for a tough encounter.
The game certainly didn’t disappoint as it was fast and hard in close, Chiltern kicked the first two goals before the Cats hit the scoreboard, but we managed to wrestle back momentum to take an eight point lead into quarter time.
Again it was tight in the second quarter with Chiltern taking a five point lead into the main break, third quarter was the same with the Cats regaining the lead at three quarter time but only by three points.
This set up for an exciting finish, with the local crowd getting behind the Cats we managed to run the game out a bit better and finished up winning by thirty five points, that margin doesn’t indicate the tightness of the game on what was a very entertaining display by both sides.

Another great day for the boys against a very hard and tough opposition, we started with a great first quarter with Josh Warren snagging a few early, Jim Morris was a feature all over the ground with Ryan Clohessy and Rick Lions racking up a lot of possessions.
James Russel and Noodle were influential on the wings, as always our young backline stood up again in the last quarter with Chris Lewis taking a goal saving mark to hold the Chiltern boys out. Considering the amount of players out the boys are doing a tremendous job all over the ground. Great team effort.

The under 17s came off a tough week last week to walk away with a big win.
It was great to see a few younger boys step up like Joe Brooks and Kurt Schmidt, it was also good to see Jack Andison back in the team after injuries kicking 7 goals.

Our young Cats played in a really tight and well contested match.
With the lead changing a number of times, the boys were unlucky that they were just behind when the final siren went.
