Corowa Civic Bowls
Midweek Pennant – Division B2 47/95 – this was the elimination final against Wodonga.
The game ended all dreams of continuing any further in the finals series. Wodonga got away to a very good start and their consistent bowling continued all game. D. Wood’s rink played very well to finish the game six shots in front. J. Willett and J. Woods’s rinks were unable to make any impression on a team playing excellent bowls. Not all games end as we hope and this was one of them. Well done Civic on your season and you can look forward to next season. Congratulations Wodonga.
Weekend Pennant – Division B5 59/79 – played Corowa Services at Club Mulwala. After last week’s good win, Saturday was a must win game to continue in the final series. B. Ash’s rink played very well to finish 13 shots up however S. Curtis and R. Kilpatrick’s rinks were unable to match their opponents on the day. Civic had some good wins during the season and can look forward to next year for another finals change.
Well done and congratulations to Corowa Services. Midweek pennant finals continue this week and weekend grand finals in all divisions will be played next Saturday.
Several final’s games will be played on Civic’s greens on Tuesday and Saturday.
Some excellent bowling will be seen so come along and enjoy the atmosphere and excitement of finals competition. See you on the Green.
