The Melbourne-based artist, who has previously been included in Benalla’s Wall to Wall Festival, transformed the interior of Burnham Beeches, an iconic 1930s Moderne mansion and estate in Sherbrooke into his Empire exhibit.
Organised through the Benalla Art Gallery, students and teachers toured the exhibition that combined art, vision, sound, light, botanical design and scent to create a multisensory experience.
It took RONE and his team more then a year to build the exhibition.
Benalla Mayor Scott Upston said it was important that young people were exposed to these type of opportunities.
‘‘Art can be transformative,’’ he said.
‘‘This kind of educational art tour demonstrates to young minds the power of imagination in art and how art can exist beyond traditional art forms.’’
