Shepparton Theatre Arts Group launched its highly anticipated 2018 Season on Thursday (October 26).
More than 150 people turned up at STAG's Black Box Theatre on Wheeler St to hear president Fiona Kennan and committee members John Head, Nicky Pummeroy and Gemma Marchant announce four major productions taking place next year.
Dookie the Musical by Shepparton playwright and arts philanthropist John Head, with music and lyrics by Wade Gregory and lyrics by Helen Rankin takes place in April.
Next up, the hugely popular Broadway musical Wicked will be staged over eight performances at WestSide PAC in late September.
This will be followed by a quirky production of War of The Worlds - based on the panic caused by Orson Welles’ 1938 radio show in November.
STAG’s final major production for 2018 will be a return of the popular Showstoppers format at the Eastbank Centre in November. Showstoppers will feature songs from popular musicals performed by a stellar cast of local singers as part of Riverlinks’ Afternoon Delights program.
