The colour and fun of the carnival came to Menarock Life aged care in Shepparton this week, as residents enjoyed ping pong, mini-golf and lucky jar prizes among a program of afternoon entertainment.

Leisure and lifestyle co-ordinator Jo Ewart said it was the second time the Pine Rd centre had held Carnival Day.
“It was a really wonderful day for families and friends to join the residents in a few hours of fun and physical activity,” Ms Ewart said.
“It brought back memories for a lot of people who said they went to carnivals when they were young.”
Ms Ewart said activities included coin tossing, a shooting gallery, a magician, a lucky duck dip, popcorn, a photo booth and a donkey — which proved popular.
“It brings a little of the Shepp Show to the residents and gets everyone to socialise and talk and reminisce,” she said.
Ms Ewart said the centre is planning to make Carnival Day an annual event.
