Emergency services were called to a structure fire that destroyed a house in Macisaac Road, Mooroopna this morning.
CFA operations officer Travis Harris said four CFA units from Mooroopna and Shepparton responded to the call at 9.48am.
Upon arriving, Mr Harris said the house was fully engulfed in flames.
He said the cause was yet to be determined but was not being treated as suspicious.
Mr Harris believed the occupant of the house was not home at the time of the fire.
The road has reopened after remaining closed for several hours this morning.
