Guests enjoy centenary dinner celebration

By Deniliquin Pastoral Times

About 160 guests gathered for the Deniliquin RSL Sub-Branch centenary celebration dinner on Saturday.

Laughter and chatter filled the Deniliquin RSL Club’s Dunlop Room for much of the night, however there were more poignant parts of the evening reflecting on war and what the Sub-Branch meant to so many returned service personnel.

Guests travelled from Bendigo, Leeton, Hay, Finley, Barham and Elmore, enjoying a delicious two course meal. Retired Major General David McLachlan was guest speaker, talking about the 100 year history of the local Sub-Branch.
