Following the overwhelming success of its ‘Opera in the Hangar’ in April, South West Music Regional Conservatorium will welcome four time ARIA Award nominated ‘The Grigoryan Brothers’ to Deniliquin next month.
Considered Australia’s finest guitar duo, Slava and Leonard (pictured above) will be performing not only the instrument’s standard classical repertoire but their own new arrangements, compositions and commissions, taking the guitar into the realms of folk, jazz and contemporary.
There is something for everyone on this current tour featuring their new album ‘Songs Without Words’.
South West Music director Damien Johnson is passionate about offering world class performances to as many local communities as possible.
‘‘Leonard and Slava are two of the finest exponents of guitar you would hope to see.
‘‘I am very excited to be able to attend and present these concerts,’’ he said.
As with all of South West Music live events, people under 18 attend free, making this a wonderful family activity to see quality musical performances.
The Deniliquin performances start at 7pm on July 7 at The Crossing Cafe.
South West Music encourages you to get there early to get the best seats and enjoy the venue’s hospitality.
The Crossing Cafe is offering an early bird supper for performance attendees from 5.30pm and a booking is essential so reserve your table.
Tickets to an evening with The Grigoryan Brothers are limited.
