The last word on the twin towns

A FOLDER celebrating all things Echuca-Moama was launched last month.

And it will be distributed to all motel rooms across the twin towns.

The 2018 Echuca-Moama Accommodation Association Compendium was celebrated at Sen on Madison in Moama in conjunction with Revolution Print.

Revolution Print Echuca manager Vicki Crowe said the compendium was an information folder placed in the accommodation rooms of the EMAA members.

‘‘Originally the revenue raised from the advertising was taken out of the area to an outside company,’’ she said.

‘‘But for the past 15 years Revolution Print (Formerly KVM Design & Printing) have been working in partnership with EMMA to ensure the revenue raised is invested back into the community.

‘‘The project is reliant on the advertisers and the launch was held to showcase the publication and thank the advertisers for investing in their community.’’

Ms Crowe said the removable inserts were replaced every 18 months to ensure content and advertisers were current. ‘‘The compendium also includes a calendar of events which is supplied by Echuca-Moama Tourism,’’ she said.

EMAA president and Quest Echuca franchisee Matthew Fitzpatrick said the EMAA compendium highlighted businesses that would be of interest to people visiting Echuca-Moama.

‘‘The revenue raised by their production is used by EMAA to fund the following events in Echuca-Moama,’’ he said.

‘‘The Winter Blues, Southern 80, Echuca Moama Tourism, Echuca Racing Club and the New Year’s Eve fireworks.

‘‘EMAA’s goal is to promote overnight visitation to the area, resulting in increased visitor spending at local attractions and businesses — this in turn benefits the entire local community.’’
