Nagambie has scored 187 goals in two weeks, sending through 89 goals against Violet Town in an 89-15 home win, which leaves them on top of the Kyabram District Netball League after six rounds.
Despite playing the bottom-placed side, Lakers playing-coach Abby Misiti said it was imperative her side, still undefeated, avoided complacency.
‘‘Coming up against a weaker side it was really important that we still put together four solid quarters, because it can be easy to take your foot off the pedal a little bit,’’ she said.
‘‘I was really pleased with the girls on Saturday that we were able to get around 20 goals a quarter while keeping it really tight defensively.
The Lakers will now enjoy a week off before gearing up for a mouth-watering clash with local rivals, third-placed Avenel, on May 26.
‘‘Avenel will be a tough game — they lost by just one goal to Tally,’’ Misiti said.
‘‘So we’re looking forward to a good contest.’’
