Grace Egan continues to shine on the big stage, putting in a brilliant performance for Carlton in AFLW round two action at the weekend.

Although the Blues went down to bitter rival Collingwood by 15 points, Shepparton product Egan was everywhere for her outfit.

The midfielder racked up 18 disposals and laid a huge 11 tackles to once again play the role of enforcer in the Carlton midfield, finishing with four clearances.

Egan's efforts snared her a maiden berth in the AFLW Team of the Week, selected on the interchange alongside fellow first-year player and Goulburn Valley export Millie Brown.

Brown and her Geelong teammates started brilliantly against Brisbane, but could not hold on to an 11-point half-time lead and eventually lost by 19 points.

The Mooroopna product secured an equal team-high 18 possessions across half-back, adding three marks and four tackles to a polished performance.

Benalla's Becky Webster had 13 disposals and six marks for the Cats, while Kyabram product Julia Crockett-Grills managed six tackles and nine touches.

In tough conditions on Friday night, the Western Bulldogs could not keep pace with Melbourne in a 20-point defeat.

Mansfield's Bonnie Toogood was still able to stand out for the Dogs with 10 disposals and a goal, taking her season tally to three majors from two matches.

Shepparton's Angela Foley did eventually taste success for Adelaide, but it took a late charge from the Crows to get over the line against St Kilda.

The home side trailed at every break throughout the clash, but booted three goals to none in the final term to run out a 13-point winner.

Foley had 13 disposals and five marks in the triumph.
