The Van Zyl-ophones are yet to set the world alight in the GVBBL Fantasy competition, continuing a poor trend of showings from coach Tyler Maher across most tournaments of the fantasy variety.
But there is still hope to go down in a blaze of glory.
With six trades to work with there have been bulk changes ahead of tomorrow's Crane Aid Goulburn Valley Bush Bash League decider - and one of the fresh faces has also snared the all-important captain's armband.
Brendan Scott's exploits for the SRP Mud Dogs will be worth double points to the Van Zyl-ophones, with teammates Joel Brett and Layton McCann also coming into the side to join Hamish Winter-Irving, Scott Richardson and Hadleigh Sirett.
Winter-Irving has picked up an injury and will miss tomorrow's contest, so will be 12th man for the fantasy decider as well.
For the Hurley's Hotel Hounds Jedd Wright, Michael Archer and Lewis Rankin have been stalwarts of the Van Zyl-ophones all season and will show James Nanopoulos, Kyle Mueller and Jackson McLay the ropes as the trio joins my outfit.
McLay or Nanopoulos will take the first rock for the Hounds, while Mueller should have been in my side from the start of the competition and will act as vice-captain.
