Following last weekend's double header weekend, both sides are back at the Shepparton Sports Stadium for the round two clash against the Wodonga Wolves.
Kicking things off are the Lady Gators, who are coming off a 69-37 win against Benalla and a 66-47 loss to Wallan last weekend.
And the task does not get any easier for the Shepparton outfit, with undefeated outfit Wodonga coming off 79-45 and 74-47 wins, as the visitors enter the match with plenty of steam.
Adding to the difficulty at hand is the unavailability of Briana Moon and Marnie Sharp for tonight's match.
Centre position player Moon was dominant last week in the win against Benalla - with 19 points - while Sharp was the next best scorer with 11.
Lady Gators head coach Chris Judd is fully aware of the task that awaits his side tonight.
“We have got a big challenge ahead of us, we are well aware of that,” he said.
“We will be without Marnie Sharp and Briana Moon, which will make things tough.
“But we get another chance to play in front of our home crowd.
“It's on the opposition to play well away from home and we will be hell bent on keeping a good record at home.”
● The men will be hoping they can clinch their second win, after Wodonga was easily beaten in both of its matches last weekend.
The Wolves suffered 91-52 and 80-70 losses in a double header weekend, while the Gators won the Saturday night contest against Benalla, before going down by five points in Sunday's thriller against Wallan.
Shepparton star players Atem Atem and Javaan Mumtaz both oozed class in the double header weekend matches, but unfortunately for Mumtaz he succumbed to injury in the second match.
Atem posted 31 and 28 points in both of last weekend's matches and was the Gators' most influential player across the two games.
Despite the mixed result last week, the Gators' head coach Brett Bathman said on Monday he was able to keep a positive outlook.
“I’m pretty happy with results,’’ Bathman said.
‘‘It was a good weekend for the team as a whole, but there’s lots of things to work on.’’
● The Lady Gators run out on the court at 6 pm, followed by the men at 8 pm.
