Another Shepparton Croquet Club pennant season is upon us and to celebrate, the club hosted a running of the first hoop event yesterday.

Life member Barb Wheelhouse - one of only 18 in the club's 97-year history - was on hand to strike the first blow of the new campaign, with association and golf croquet players alike also in attendance.

The respective pennant competitions for both sets of players begins tomorrow.
