Now in its 17th year, the Great Chase series helps donate money to Victoria's disability sector.
The Greyhound Racing Victoria event, partnered with the Victorian Government, treks to all greyhound clubs in Victoria.
The Shepparton club invited local community organisations that care for intellectually or physically disabled along to the event, with free catering, prize money and merchandise on offer for those attending.
More than 150 people filled the rooms, with plenty of smiles on the faces of those watching the greyhounds sprint around the track.
"It was great to have 150 people come here today, which is fantastic," GRV Northern Region communication, Media, events and marketing manager Brad Williams said.
"This is our 17th year and over those years GRV has raised over $600 000 to the disability sector."
As attending cheered on the runners, the lucky onlookers got the chance to meet the winning greyhounds.
"Today, each race is named after the organisation groups, so they get to go out and grab a photo of the race winners," Williams said.
"And we have our greyhound adoption program dogs (GAP) here for everyone to meet and pat, it's a great day."
