The action is well and truly heating up, and News photographer Megan Fisher trekked down to the SNA courts on Saturday to capture the action in a thriller between the St Luke's Magpies and Goulburn Valley Grammar School Nine.
In a match that could only be described as epic, St Luke's came up with big plays when it mattered most to pull off a 7-6 win.
With two rounds left until finals, now is the time for the teams to make their mark before they begin on September 1.
Other happenings include the association's introduction of the Val Sutherland Coaches Award, that will be presented on grand final day.
Sutherland is a former president, vice-president, treasurer, tournament convener and umpire of the association, and has been involved with the competition for more than 50 years.
The association has also announced an extended twilight season for the 2019-20 competition.
The season will comprise of 15 rounds that will continue into the new year with a break at Christmas.
Round one will start on Tuesday, October 8 and the grand final will be March 10.
A twilight sectional meeting will be held at the SNA clubrooms on Wednesday, August 28, with one club or team representative required.Â
