Local jockey Tahlia Hope rode a winner in race six at Seymour on Thursday.
Hope rode to victory on Small Town Honey, just three-quarters of a length in front of second-placed The Donchess.
It was Hope’s first race back, having just returned to riding after an injury.
Hope is the daughter of local horse trainer Shannon Hope who also trained Small Town Honey.
Four-year-old gelding Bons Away, bred by Euroa’s Parador Park and trained by Ciaron Maher, won race eight with Luke Nolen on board.
Nolen took out three wins for the day.
Logan McGill, who trained The Mayor, a son of Euroa’s Rangal Park sire Danerich, won race one.
Seymour Racing Club member and horse trainer David McGillivray was the lucky winner of the Seymour Toyota ‘Win a Yaris’ promotion and will now go into the major prize draw to win a car.
