When popular Channel 7 weather presenter and meteorologist Jane Bunn (pictured) made her third trip to Deniliquin last August she had promising news for farmers.
To the delight of everyone, Ms Bunn predicted above average spring rains, and she was on the money with one of the wettest springs on record.
Ms Bunn will return to give her 2017 predictions at the next ‘An evening with Jane Bunn’, to be presented by West Berriquin Irrigators and Deniliquin Freighters.
It will be held at the Deniliquin Golf Club on Tuesday, June 27.
West Berriquin Irrigators spokesperson Shelley Scoullar encouraged everyone to ‘save the date’.
‘‘Jane Bunn is a popular speaker with immense knowledge of meteorology and weather patterns,’’ Mrs Scoullar said.
‘‘Her insight into what the weather gods have in store for us is always extremely interesting.
‘‘We are hoping to again have a large crowd at this event.’’
Mrs Scoullar thanked Deniliquin Freighters for the ongoing support of Jane Bunn’s visits, and Wettenhall Air Services for getting Jane from Melbourne and returning her after the event.
‘‘Jane’s presentations are always outstanding. She is an excellent speaker who explains factors which impact on our weather, and how they contributed,’’ Mrs Scoullar said.
‘‘I would encourage everyone with an interest in the weather to mark the date on their calendar and attend on June 27.
‘‘We will have support presenters who will be announced in coming weeks.’’
