A man was set to face Shepparton Magistrates' Court on Friday following an alleged attempted abduction of a teenage girl in Cobram on Thursday afternoon.
New South Wales police and Cobram detectives arrested a man in Barooga at 9pm on Thursday night.
It is believed a 15-year-old girl was walking through the Cobram Showgrounds from Ivy St around 4.40pm when the incident occurred.
She managed to escape and was taken to hospital.
The 30-year-old man was arrested around 9pm on April 20 and was extradited to Victoria.
He was set to face the Shepparton Magistrates' Court over charges relating to abduction, kidnapping and false imprisonment.
