Players endure scorching day

It was another tough day on court for the Cobram GM 2 side in hot conditions.

The team made the trip to Shepparton Lawn Tennis club to take on the Shepparton Lawn Saints.

Cobram went down 2 sets and 48 games to 9 sets and 73 games.

Josh Bruni was the sole singles winner for the day for Cobram, winning his match easily 6-1.

The other match winners were Jackie Vogel and Marika Newey in their doubles match, winning 8-6.

The Cobram team will be back at home this week when they host the ninth-placed Numurkah Raiders.

●The Cobram Cougars team escaped the hot weather on Saturday as they had the bye.

Junior tennis

The junior Cobram tennis players showed their love for the game on Saturday as they took to the court despite the scorching weather.

The sets were shortened from six games to four to allow the players to get off the court in less time.

All players will be welcoming the cooler predicted weather for this Saturday.
