Help expand CFA support service

by
January 11, 2017

CFA crews battled a shed fire in Kyabram last year.

THE ENTERPRISING CFA volunteers at the Tongala Fire Brigade are looking for community organisations and local businesses to help expand a special and very refreshing summer service.

As well as providing emergency response to the community all year round, the Tongala CFA volunteers have been operating a refrigerated cool room trailer that provides cold water to front line firefighters at major incidents.

The brigade is raising money for a sturdy 4WD ute that can take the trailer anywhere and then fill support roles, ferrying equipment or replacement crews, or even filling in for a forward command vehicle when needed.

To ask about joining Tongala CFA as a volunteer firefighter or in a support role or to offer a donation to help fund the new brigade vehicle call captain Dave Wright on 0498 369 908.
