Our Place exhibition opens

January 11, 2017

Jane Keane: ‘Our River’, acrylic on board.

Chris Upton: ‘Where the Murray runs South to North’, acrylic on canvas.

Gallery 294’s latest exhibition ‘Our Place’ opened on Saturday, December 30 and is set to continue until February 12.
The exhibition is a celebration of where we live and showcases new works by both members and friends of the gallery.
The exhibition also supports Corowa’s ‘Our Place Expo’, taking place at the Oddfellows Hall from January 18 to January 25.
The exhibition includes works by artists who were involved in painting many of the panels that make up the Our Place mural that now adorns the Sanger Street walls of Woolworths.
Subjects range from the river, flowers in a member’s garden, the chocolate factory, shops, brolgas and of course, the John Foord Bridge.
In the Gallery’s Focus Room this month, beautiful watercolours by gallery member Chris Dickens are featured.
Gallery 294 is open daily from 10am to 4pm.
Now in its ninth year, the gallery continues to develop and delight both local and out of town visitors with its artwork and hand crafted giftware.
Entry is free at all time.
