Detectives from the Shepparton crime investigation unit have arrested two men over a serious armed assault that occurred in Shepparton late last year.

Police executed search warrants in Melbourne about 6am this morning, arresting a 34-year-old man Caroline Springs man and a 53-year-old man from Richmond.
Officers also executed a search warrant at an OMCG clubhouse on Lipton Drv, Thomastown as part of the investigation.
Police seized ammunition and other items from the premises.
The pair are being interviewed by police in relation to an alleged serious assault in Shepparton late last year.
It is understood two men forced entry into an Ashenden St business around 9 pm on November 15.
Armed with handguns, the pair made threats to kill the 50-year-old Shepparton man who was inside the business at the time and demanded a large sum of money.
Police confirmed the pair fled the scene empty-handed.
The victim was not physically injured during the incident.
The men are expected to be charged with extortion and other related offences.
