The Your Way with the NDIS event is designed to help people of the Shepparton region to understand the ins and outs of the NDIS so that they are able to navigate with confidence.
The event will feature three sessions that will each focus on a different topic, including preparing for the NDIS, bringing your NDIS plan to life and a question and answer panel.
Your Way with the NDIS will be hosted by Plan Partners, a leading provider of NDIS plan management and support coordination.
Plan Partners head of partnerships Bianca-Lee Dwyer said the sessions were a way of helping people in the newly NDIS-transitioned region to adjust to the scheme.
“The NDIS gives people a lot more choice and control over the support they receive, but when it’s all new it can feel particularly complex and overwhelming,” Ms Dwyer said.
“By explaining some of the more complex elements and walking people through the important steps of the NDIS journey, we hope people feel more relaxed — and even excited — about what they can achieve under the scheme.”
The Your Way with the NDIS event will be held on Tuesday, August 27 between 10am and 3pm in function room 2 at Riverlinks Eastbank.
No cost is involved but people are encouraged to register online.
