Police are reminding Goulburn Valley retailers to be alert after reports of attempted credit card fraud and arrests made in Melbourne and Sydney on Wednesday.
In separate incidents last month, a man of Asian appearance attended three Shepparton businesses and attempted to purchase goods, mainly electrical items, using false cards.
In every case nothing was stolen from the stores as the cards were not fitted with a chip, alerting business employees they could have been fake.
