Warming up to a weekend of home tips

Today marks the opening of the three-day National Homemaker Expo at the Shepparton Showgrounds' McIntosh Centre.

Visitors can browse exhibits of home entertainment systems, interior design, pools and spas, gardens, food and wine as well as large displays on caravans and camping.

On Saturday and Sunday visitors can watch celebrity TV chef Gabriel Gate give cooking demonstrations.

Gate has sold more than a million copies of his 20 cooking titles.

Other attractions include a large outdoor pavilion with water treatment plants, leisure vehicles and camping, and art.
