Two hundred children converged on McEwen Reserve for the official program start of the 2008-09 season for Shepparton Little Athletics Centre on Saturday.
Athletes aged from under-8 upwards are invited to a sprints-starts training session today from 5.15pm to 6.15pm.
Meanwhile, relay training in preparation for the Regional Relay Championships starts on Thursday between 5.15pm to 6.15pm.
The Regional Relay Championships will be hosted in Shepparton on Sunday, November 16.
Teams which qualify to progress to the state championships will compete at Olympic Park in Melbourne on Sunday, December 14.
With limited time to prepare for the regional event, the Shepparton centre is seeking immediate expressions of interest from under-9 to under-15 aged athletes wishing to compete in relay teams.
