US surfer C. J. Hobgood from Melbourne, Florida, makes a dramatic wipeout after attempting an aerial manoeuvre during the semi-finals of the Billabong Pro at Mundaka, in the Basque Region of Spain on Saturday. Hobgood defeated Luke Stedman (Australia) on his way to the finals and went on to defeat Joel Parkinson (Australia) in the final, snatching the last wave of the heat to outscore his Australian rival, winning $US30 000 and jumping to No.6 on the ASP World Tour ratings.
