On Sunday, March 8, you can spend a day immersed in a vintage vehicle or car lover's dream.
With the success of last year's event that had more than 125 cars and more than 200 people attending, the committee felt the show had outgrown the old site adjacent to the hotel and was looking forward to being able to offer a bigger and better venue.
This will mean more room for exhibitors and stall holders as well as a bigger range of food.
There will be a barbecue, coffee van and licensed booth for people to enjoy, plus lots of entertainment for children as well with a jumping castle, colouring competition, face painting and ice cones to make the event a fun family day out.
The committee is looking for any volunteers to lend a helping hand in the canteen, on the barbecue or at the entry gate.
All profits will go back to any community groups that register to volunteer.
Entries are now open for anyone who has a car, ute, bike or truck to enter into the Show and Shine. There will be pre-booking fees of $10 for the first category entered and $5 for each extra category entered before March 5.
Registration on the day will be $15 per vehicle.
All exhibitors will be required to travel via Savige Rd to enter in the back gate to gain entry to the oval from 7 am; entries will close at 10 am with judging at noon.
The front gate will open to the public at 8 am and a barbecue breakfast will be available.
Anyone who would like to be involved or is seeking more information can email stanhopeshowandshine@gmail.com for an entry form or phone Lyn on 0427 572 629.
This year the event will be held at Stanhope Recreation Reserve.
