There will be an interruption to the electricity supply to powerlines in Avenel, Nagambie, Mangalore, Locksley, Longwood South, Tabilk, Mitchellstown, Goulburn Weir, Kirwans Bridge, Baillieston and Whroo areas on Tuesday, May 8 between 8.30am and 4.30pm.
This interruption is being coordinated by AusNet Services for replacement and maintenance works on the lines, as part of its ongoing network improvement program.
As a result, Strathbogie Shire Council’s Visitor Information Centre and Nagambie Customer Service will not be operating on this day, and the Nagambie Library will also be closed.
Maternal and Child Health Services, which would normally operate out of Nagambie Kindergarten on a Tuesday, will instead be available on the Wednesday next week.
Affected residents should have already received an initial notice about the power outage and will receive another written notice from AusNet Services this week to confirm it is proceeding and detailing the times supply will be interrupted to the resident’s particular premise.
The notice will be sent to the postal address for the account as provided by electricity retailers on the customer’s behalf.
AusNet Services have considered wine production peak periods as well as tourism values to attempt to minimise impact on the area.
Should you require any further information, please contact AusNet Services planned outage line on 1300 362 026.
