The mystery of Cobram Lotto’s latest winner has been solved with a man coming forward to claim the division one prize.
Cobram’s unregistered entry was one of four division one winning entries across Australia in the TattsLotto draw on Saturday, April 7.
Each entry won the division one prize of $1030924.39.
Speaking with Tatts officials yesterday afternoon to confirm the win, the happy winner admitted the win wasn’t a mystery to him as he had checked the winning numbers on Saturday night.
‘‘I haven’t stopped shaking since I found out,’’ he said.
‘‘Saturday night I was watching TV and thought I’d check my numbers and saw them on the computer and checked them.’’
Having had several days to allow the news to sink in, the winner confessed he knew exactly how he planned to spend his TattsLotto windfall.
‘‘I reckon I can retire and move interstate,’’ he said.
‘‘I’ve been wanting to do it for ages but I’ve never had the money to do it and now I can. I’ve got family living there so it will be beautiful to be there with them.’’
Cobram Lotto owner Dean Clydesdale said the outlet was celebrating selling another division one win.
‘‘We are so pleased the winner has come forward to claim their prize so they can start enjoying their win,’’ he said.
