Two in hospital

Two people were taken to hospital after a two-car collision in Tatura yesterday.

Police said collision happened at the intersection of Winter Rdand Tatura-Rushworth Rd, Tatura, about 12.20pm.

Police believe the vehicle travelling south on Winter Rd entered into Rushworth-Tatura Rd and into the path of an east-bound vehicle.‘‘The east-bound vehicle has rolled and the crash has caused pretty significant damager to both cars,’’ Tatura police Leading Senior Constable Danielle Calvert said.

An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said paramedics were called to the collision site.

‘‘Three people were assessed at the scene, two were taken to Goulburn Valley Health, including one woman in her 40s,’’ a spokesperson said.

Leading Sen Const Calvert said a Gisborne woman, 43, and the driver travelling south on Winter Rd, a Shepparton man, 77, were among in hospital.

Police are investigating the cause of the incident.
