Shepparton’s Freda Kerr eagerly watched her great nephew, Luke Willian, compete in the Commonwealth Games triathlon event this afternoon.

The 21-year-old represented Australia in his first event of the games.

The race kicked off at 1pm and Ms Kerr was in front of the TV at Shepparton Villages watching the action unfold.

“We’re all very proud of him, win or lose we’re proud of him,” she said.
