As sunshine shone through the vines at Longleat Wines, family and friends gathered for a day filled with jazz, food and wine at Music in the Vines.
For more than 10 years, the Murchison winery has been a part of Shepparton Festival, opening the doors to the community and hosting many soul and jazz musicians.
About 100 people listened to The Suspects, soaking up the sun’s rays on the lawn or enjoying comfort in the shade.
Longleat Wines owner Guido Vazzoler was delighted to see guests finishing the long weekend in style.
‘‘The crowd is having a great time and there has been plenty of fun for kids,’’ Mr Vazzoler said.
Longleat Wines was first involved with the festival as hosts of a farmers market.
Before long, Mr Vazzoler and his wife Sandra decided to incorporate music.
‘‘The event has always been well received by the crowd, with music for people to have a sing-a-long or a chat,’’ Mr Vazzoler said.
‘‘It’s the perfect event before the end of the harvest season.’’
Longleat Wines also hosts Dinner In The Vines Italian Style as part of the festival.
The sold-out event this Friday celebrates the season’s harvest through an Italian-inspired degustation dinner created by two Michelin Star and multi-award-winning chef Luca Ciano.
‘‘It’s great having so much support for our events from the community,’’ Mr Vazzoler said.
‘‘We’re already looking forward to next year.’’
