The Caravan Park Residency exhibition includes artworks by seven artists who participated in the residency at Secura Lifestyle, one of whom is Amanda Hocking.

Shepparton accounting firm J.H. & Co Management hosted the official opening of the Caravan Park Residency exhibition last night as part of the Shepparton Festival, By Design.

The Caravan Park Residency exhibition includes artworks by seven artists who participated in the residency at Secura Lifestyle Shepparton East during the 2017 Shepparton Festival.

The exhibition was officially opened by Anne McCamish, with catering provided by Tallis Wine, The Provender Co. and Cheeky Grog Co.

The aim of the exhibition is to open a discussion about the sense of place, home, destination and accommodation a caravan provides within a larger narrative of social spaces and communities.

J.H. & Co Management director Justin Hocking said the company was proud to be part of the Shepparton Festival and exhibit the work of talented local artists.

‘‘We are an accounting firm that encourages originality, innovation and out-of-the-box thinking.

‘‘Supporting local artists and a festival which embody these traits is a great way to be involved in the community and show our clients beautiful art to muse when they come in.

‘‘We hope to continue exhibiting local art even after the festival is over,’’ Mr Hocking said.

This is the first time J.H. & Co has opened its office space to display artists’ work and the intention is to showcase Goulburn Valley artists in the future.

Entry to the exhibition is free and the community is invited to view the works from Monday to Friday between 8.30am and 5pm during the 17 days of the festival.
