Businessman Clive Palmer is representing himself in a long-running legal stoush with liquidators.

Clive Palmer say his wealth has increased by $2 billion and freezing his assets could impact jobs across Queensland.

The former federal MP is representing himself in a long-running legal stoush with liquidators brought in after the collapse of his Townsville nickel refinery.

At the Brisbane Supreme Court on Tuesday, Mr Palmer said the application sought by Queensland Nickel's liquidators had already caused the loss of about 20 jobs and more could go if it was successful.
