Have you ever wanted to visit Shepparton’s Iraqi, Turkish and Afghan mosques and the Gurdwara Sahib (Sikh temple)?

Well, you will have the chance to fit it all in one day at the coming Ethnic Council of Shepparton and District’s multicultural bus tour.

‘‘Shepparton Ethnic Council and District welcomes members of the community to participate in a day of discovery of Shepparton’s unique multicultural community,’’ the Ethnic Council’s Sam Atukorala said.

Departing from the Ethnic Council office at 9am, the tour will run until 4pm. The attendees will first get to spend more than an hour exploring the region’s indigenous culture.

A lunch will be provided at the Turkish Mosque.

‘‘As we will be visiting places of various cultures and religions, cultural sensitivity needs to be acknowledged. As part the Muslim and Sikh traditions, removal of shoes is required and the covering of hair before you enter their places of worship.’’

The bus tour is from 9am to 4pm on Thursday, March 22. For more information, phone Sam Atukorala on 58312395.
