Organisers are gearing up for Saturday’s Cheeky Sweetheart Fundraiser.
The event, in conjunction with Sweetheart Day, aims to raise funds for the Heart Kids Foundation, which supports children and their families with congenital heart disease.
Event organiser Kellie Elliott said the event aimed to support families who were going through a hard time.
Adelina Jaskolski is celebrating her first anniversary since receiving a heart transplant, and Ms Elliott said the two-year-old and her family had a special place in her heart.
‘‘There are quite a number of families around town who have been affected by heart disease in some way, so I decided to put together the event for them,’’ she said.
The Cheeky Sweetheart Fundraiser starts at Cheeky Grog Co, Bunbartha, from 4pm on Saturday.
There will be family activities, massages from GV Myotherapy, health information from DoTERRA Essential Oils and live entertainment.
A car boot sale will also be run at the event for anyone to sell unwanted items, with a $20 donation from each stall going towards the foundation.
A guest speaker from Heart Kids Foundation will be there to discuss the work done by the organisation and the impact they have on a number of families.
Wood fire pizzas will be also available to buy from Cheeky Grog Co, with $5 from each pizza going towards the foundation.
Ms Elliott encouraged everyone to come along and enjoy an evening of fun and entertainment while raising funds for a worthwhile cause.
‘‘It is a fun family event, it should be a nice evening for everyone,’’ she said.
Cheeky Grog Co is located at 5160 Shepparton-Barmah Rd, Bunbartha.
