Travelling conmen in Greater Shepaprton

Greater Shepparton residents are warned to be vigilant after travelling conmen were reported in the Kialla area.  

Local police were warned by Consumer Affairs Victoria of a complaint dating back to January 31, 2018.

The complaint advised that travelling conmen were present in the Greater Shepparton area for several days/weeks.

The business name used in this instance was 'Liquid Amber Tree Works'.

Two males have been described as Islander in appearance, and driving a white Toyota Hilux.

According to reports, the conmen offered gardening maintenance and tree lopping services, engaged victims by door knocking and leaving business cards, and damaged neighbouring properties while removing trees.

Police advise residents to not answer the door if they believe it could be a travelling conmen.
