Four people were taken to Goulburn Valley Health in Shepparton following a single-vehicle rollover at Ardmona yesterday morning.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said a woman, aged in her 20s, was transported in a serious condition with head, neck and shoulder injuries.
A second woman, also aged in her 20s, was transported in a stable condition with neck and foot injuries. Two toddlers, a male and a female, were also taken to Goulburn Valley Health, each in a stable condition.
Emergency services were called to the incident on Macisaac Rd in Ardmona yesterday, after a vehicle left the road and ended up on its side.
Five occupants in total were inside the vehicle when it crashed into a drainage channel.
A police media spokesperson said the vehicle hit the channel just after 10.30am and ended up on its side.
Shepparton Search and Rescue incident controller Jamie Fawcett said one woman was trapped for a period of time.
‘‘We got there and the vehicle was in a large drainage channel on its side,’’ he said.
‘‘It was very wet and slippery because of the rain ... (but there was) minimal water in the channel, which was lucky.
‘‘We stabilised the vehicle and proceeded to remove the roof ... and the trapped woman walked out on her own accord.’’
