The top-placed dairy cow for Australia comes from Leitchville in northern Victoria.

Judges chose a seven-year-old Holstein owned by the Hore family, which runs Elmar Holsteins, at the final day of judging for International Dairy Week at Tatura.

The same dairy cow, Elmar Goldwyn Jessica 11, was also awarded Champion Cow and Grand Champion in the National Holstein Show.

Only two years ago the same family took home the grand champion, senior champion, reserve and honorable mention categories.

The five-day event saw 190 exhibitors and 1156 entries compete across the seven shows, with 18000 people watching the event via live stream and thousands more watching on from the stands.
