Mathoura has been able to fill an entire committee and coaching staff, and now the only piece of the puzzle missing is more players.
To secure the club’s right to play in the Picola and District Football Netball League in 2022 the club must field a senior football side.
‘‘We still need more senior footballers on the track, and there’s not long to go before we commence the season,’’ said Banks.
‘‘We would love to have a full side going into round one and ongoing for the year.
‘‘We are also low in numbers for our senior netball teams.
‘‘We encourage anyone who would like to play some games this year to attend the final grading sessions this Tuesday (tonight) and Thursday.’’
Banks said the ‘Cutters also need more juniors across the board — for netball and football.
‘‘Our numbers are still quite low, and unless we get more participation there’s a good chance we won’t be fielding a junior football side.
‘‘We have four really good coaches across our football club, so would love to get some new and old players to the club to be participating this season.’’
The club is also seeking a trainer for the 2022 season. It is a paid position and training can be offered.
Netball and football training for juniors is on Thursdays at 5pm. Anyone interested is encouraged to come along.
The final two sessions for senior netball grading are tonight and Thursday. Please arrive by 6.15pm.
